Kick gifted-sub chargebacks push some streamers into negative balances

What happened

A viewer gifted thousands of Kick subs to several channels and then reversed the charges through his bank. The streamers had already been paid, so Kick took the money back, and some balances went below zero (one streamer showed −$1,583.60). On its Kick Talk stream, Kick said a negative balance is subtracted from future earnings, including Kick Partner Program pay. Kick's KICKs Usage Policy says it may reverse creator earnings tied to chargebacks and offset them against future payouts.

💰 What it means for creators' moneyGifted-sub and tip money isn't final until the dispute window closes. Large gift sprees from brand-new accounts carry the most risk. Don't spend a sudden windfall right away, keep a reserve, and read your platform's chargeback and offset terms before you budget around gift income.
