YouTube Shopping affiliate program launches in France
What happened
YouTube launched its Shopping affiliate program in France on Oct 13. French creators can now tag products inside videos, Shorts and livestreams so viewers can buy in one click. YouTube says tagged products get up to 110% more clicks than links in the description alone, and that Shopping commissions paid to creators worldwide are up more than 100% year over year. It also says it is loosening eligibility criteria and adding catalogs such as Amazon.
